My personal story:

I had my babies in a hospital. Ironically enough, I didn’t know about any birthing alternatives. No one told me. I didn’t find out I had options until my third baby and after that one I heard about an alternative birthing facility boy what a difference. That was my best labor. I didn’t have people bombarding me, poking and prodding and trying to do unnecessary medical interventions to make their lives easier. We have choices, we have options. I am absolutely in love with the idea of pregnancy and labor. It is such a blessing to be able to grow a life and give birth. I just want to be of assistance to the many women who are and could be left in the dark like I was. Having a doula in many cases makes a world of difference, you have that voice. The person who has you and your baby’s best interests, is you. To birth a healthy baby, one must be healthy mind and body. I can go on for days.
